Izium – a city that stood strong through over 160 days of brutal occupation. 😔

During this time, its residents endured immense suffering, atrocities, and horrors of war inflicted by enemy soldiers. With 80% of its infrastructure destroyed, Izium still held its ground and survived. 🇺🇦

On September 10th, the Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated the city from Russian invaders, but the people who live here now face dire conditions. Everywhere the enemy set foot, they left behind only ashes, suffering, and ruins… 🪨

Helping the war-affected population of Ukraine remains our top priority. The moment we received news of the city’s liberation, we began preparing for the journey. 🚚

Reaching the city is no easy task—without a special permit, entry is prohibited. The roads are shattered by shellfire, bridges destroyed, and the enemy continues to bombard the area. But none of this deterred our volunteers. 💪

On Saturday, the “Peace and Kindness” team arrived in Izium and provided essential aid to the people, who now more than ever need support. 🍞🍼
