Mykolaiv 27.04.22 – humanitarian aid delivery to Mykolaiv: supporting over 2,000 families during ongoing conflict
On April 27, volunteers of the Peace and Kindness Foundation traveled to Mykolaiv. We were warmly welcomed by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, Anna Zamazeyeva, and a deputy of the regional council, Tatyana Dombrovskaya.
We delivered about 15 tonnes of humanitarian aid for further distribution among the residents of the city and region. The aid was transported in seven trucks and three cars. More than 2,000 families received charity packages containing dry rations, ready-to-eat meals, baby food, drinking water, as well as essential medicines and bandages. These critical supplies helped meet the immediate needs of families who found themselves in extremely difficult conditions due to ongoing military actions.
In addition to distributing aid, representatives from local authorities and our foundation discussed further cooperation and ways to strengthen coordination with regional organizations to respond swiftly to the evolving humanitarian situation. Mykolaiv, under constant shelling at that time, was in particular need of assistance, and our on-the-ground efforts were a crucial step in supporting the city’s residents.
