On the eve of the International Volunteer Day in Kyiv, Nova Poshta presented an award to the Humanitarian Forces of Ukraine. The award was presented to 30 effective and systematic charitable foundations and NGOs that help the country at the most crucial moment in its history, as well as 3 volunteers nominated by Ukrainians.
The foundations and volunteers were honoured as part of Nova Poshta’s Humanitarian Mail of Ukraine project, which has been providing an opportunity to send humanitarian goods throughout Ukraine since 2014, with the company paying for the delivery. For more than 8 years of cooperation, the foundations participating in the project have sent 40,000 tonnes of aid to recipients, which is the weight of 140 legendary Mriya aircraft.
The Humanitarian Forces of Ukraine received awards from 30 foundations in ten categories, including the Peace and Good Foundation in the category “Helping Children”.
The awards were presented by representatives of the Ukrainian government, journalists and opinion leaders. In particular, the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Oksana Zholnovych, sniper of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yevheniya Emerald, lawyer and soldier Masi Nayem, editor-in-chief of the online publication Ukrainska Pravda Sevgil Musayeva, editor-in-chief of NV magazine and website Vitaliy Sych, and co-founders of Nova Poshta Inna Popereshnyuk and Viacheslav Klymov.
“The humanitarian forces, i.e. volunteers, along with the army and business, are the three pillars on which Ukraine is standing today. In 2014, when the Humanitarian Post of Ukraine was just starting its work, about 60 organisations cooperated with us, and now there are more than 600 of them. In total, more than 15,000 charitable foundations are registered in Ukraine, and Nova Poshta is ready to support each of them. Now none of us have days off, but after the victory we will definitely have a rest to start rebuilding the country with renewed vigour,” says Inna Popereshniuk, co-founder of Nova Poshta.
