Rehabilitation support for children with Cerebral Palsy (CP)
Rehabilitation support for shildren with Cerebral Palsy (CP)
Cerebral palsy is one of the most common childhood disabilities, and in Ukraine, access to high-quality rehabilitation services has always been a challenge. With the onset of the war, these services have become even harder to access, leaving many children without the vital care they need. Families are struggling—both financially and emotionally—unable to afford the necessary treatments or even reach rehabilitation centers. Without timely interventions, children with CP face worsening mobility, speech, and cognitive challenges, drastically affecting their quality of life and limiting their future potential.
This project is dedicated to providing comprehensive rehabilitation for children with cerebral palsy (CP) across Ukraine. Our aim is to enhance their physical abilities, improve their daily functioning, and help them achieve greater independence, allowing them to integrate more fully into society despite the challenges posed by CP and the ongoing war.
This project will benefit children with CP, ages 1-18, from all regions of Ukraine, particularly those whose families have been directly affected by the war. These children, many of whom are from displaced or low-income families, can no longer access or afford essential rehabilitation services.
Program Overview:
- Duration: 21 days of intensive, personalized rehabilitation.
- Services: Comprehensive care that includes physiotherapy, speech therapy, psychological support, art therapy, and tailored rehabilitation plans to address each child’s unique needs.
- Location: Leading rehabilitation centers across Ukraine, offering a safe and supportive environment for children and their families.
- Family Support: Psychological assistance and educational resources for parents, helping them navigate the immense challenges of raising a child with CP during times of conflict and displacement.
