As part of its corporate humanitarian projects, Henkel Ukraine and its brands have announced a new package of measures to support Ukrainians during the war.
According to Henkel’s press service, its Gliss, Syoss, Schauma and Fa brands have donated tens of thousands of hygiene products to war-affected communities through charities and volunteer missions.
“22,000 packs of shower gels and 22,000 shampoos were donated to communities and cities affected by the hostilities and in dire need of hygiene products due to disrupted supply chains and logistics,” the company said.
Henkel’s President in Ukraine Olena Yefremova-Kursik explained which regions received support:
“The humanitarian aid was primarily directed to the communities and regions that have been severely affected by the war – the territories and communities of Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, as well as Kharkiv region. Henkel and its brands also provided assistance to the Khmelnytsky region, which provides shelter to refugees from the dangerous regions of Ukraine.”
The humanitarian aid package from Henkel and its brands Gliss, Syoss, Schauma and Fa was sent directly to the local communities in the affected regions and was distributed to charitable foundations and volunteer movements. These include the Peace and Good Foundation, Tvoya Opora, the Group of Influence Holding of Public Initiatives, the Life Against All Odds Charitable Foundation, and the SOS Civil Defence Headquarters Charitable Foundation.
Earlier it was reported that the package of solidarity programmes and humanitarian projects of the international company Henkel, its brands and Ukrainian business units for Ukraine exceeded EUR 5 million.
As part of corporate humanitarian projects, humanitarian initiatives of Henkel’s corporate volunteers from Ukraine and the EU, and a network of international partners, Henkel and its brands continue to provide assistance to hospitals, war-affected Ukrainians and communities, refugee shelters, volunteer movements, foundations and charities, and institutions for children without parental care.
At the beginning of the war, the global company Henkel condemned the attack on Ukraine by the Russian Federation and supported the international community’s call for the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine. Subsequently, the company officially announced the termination of its operations in Russia.
