The cottage town for displaced persons “Peace and Kindness 1”
In the wake of the war in Ukraine, countless families have been displaced, losing their homes and facing uncertain futures. For these individuals, the ``Peace and Kindness`` charity foundation, in partnership with various organizations, has initiated an ambitious project to provide safe, comfortable housing in a newly built cottage town. Located in the picturesque suburbs of Kyiv, within the Makaryv Hromada, this project aims to offer displaced families not only a place to live but a community to thrive.
The goal of the ``Peace and Kindness 1`` project is to construct 144 modern homes for 450 displaced residents, creating a supportive and sustainable environment where families can rebuild their lives. By providing state-of-the-art homes equipped with modern amenities, this project addresses the immediate need for housing while also fostering long-term recovery and stability for those impacted by the war.
The war has left many families without homes, forcing them to live in temporary or unsuitable conditions. These families face daily challenges of insecurity, financial hardship, and uncertainty about their futures. By building a cottage town with modern, energy-efficient homes, we are not only giving these families a place to live but also helping them regain a sense of stability, safety, and community. The project also contributes to Ukraine’s broader recovery efforts by stimulating economic activity and restoring the social fabric of the affected regions.
